Kay previously captained City Women as well coaching full-time within the Imps Academy set up since 2018, and has been the pre-Academy and schoolboy phase lead coach (U7-14) since January 2023.

 

City's head of academy Jon Pepper said: “We all knew that we would lose Amy at some stage to a bigger Academy. I hoped it wouldn't be this early, however, our loss is definitely Brighton's gain and everyone at Lincoln City wishes Amy well in the new chapter of her career."

 

“This is just another example of how coaches and players continue to develop within our Academy, and we’re sure there will be others who follow in similar footsteps to Amy.”

 

Amy will begin her new role at Brighton’s Category One Academy at the start of May.
